I wanted to industrialize the shabby chic style model, coined in Great Britain in the 1980s, by opening the room of dreams and memories, designing plates that could belong to our grandparents or be found in flea markets around the world. I tried to make this poetic vision of the off-tone, of the slightly imperfect object industrial: I increasingly like this controlled imperfection, because making something perfect is quite easy these days. This collection for SchönhuberFranchi is my proposal for controlled imperfection.” - Piero Lissoni
